A Letter from Ike Anand
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital · ALSACDear Donnie Neuenberger Foundation,
Over the past few months, I've had the privilege of stepping into my role as President and CEO of ALSAC. It has been an extraordinary journey — one filled with purpose, gratitude and a renewed commitment to the dream that no child should die in the dawn of life.
Together with St. Jude, we've taken important steps forward — both on our campus and with partners around the globe. The impact on families everywhere is a testament to your generosity and unwavering compassion.
One milestone I'm especially proud of is the work of St. Jude and the World Health Organization on the Global Platform for Access to Childhood Cancer Medicines. In February, the first deliveries of quality-assured cancer medicines began in Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Ecuador, Nepal and Zambia, with Jordan following. Building on lessons from that rollout, a second wave is now onboarding: El Salvador, Ghana, Moldova, Pakistan, Senegal and Sri Lanka.
These efforts are part of a multi-year plan to reach more than 120,000 children around the world with lifesaving medicines and help raise global childhood cancer survival to 60 percent by 2030.
Last month, I had the honor of joining global leaders at the United Nations General Assembly, where St. Jude co-hosted an event focused on improving survival and reducing suffering for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases — spotlighting bold, multinational leadership, collaboration and innovation.
As I reflect on these milestones, one thing is clear: you make this momentum possible. Your generosity makes every breakthrough possible. Together, we are not only saving lives today but shaping a future where every child — no matter where they live — has a chance to grow up.
Thank you for standing with us.
With gratitude,
The fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
